Bloomin' Wine Festival

Zimmerman Vineyards’ Bloomin’ Wine Festival celebrates the sweet smell of grapevines in bloom. Flowering occurs mid-May in this area. The process of flowering begins with small flower clusters that appear on the tips of the young shoots looking like buttons. The flowers have a powerful and unique scent that reminds one of an herbal sachet. Recently it was discovered that the characteristic odor of grapevine flowers is emitted from their pollen grains, unlike other flowers, whose scent arises from their petals.
